About Us
Farmer+Smith's managing director is Paul Bauernschmidt ("bear-n-schmidt"). He is a native Delawarean and a graduate of Brandywine High School.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science in Public Administration from Wilmington University.
He has nearly a decade of public relations and marketing experience as the former director of the Delaware Heritage Commission, an agency within the Department of State that specialized in community outreach, grant funding, publications, commemorations and public programming.
Paul is a member of the Newark Morning Rotary Club and chair of the Lunchtime Networking Group sponsored by the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce.
Paul created Farmer+Smith P.R. in 2007.

Paul has written articles in numerous publications notably "Business Bridge", "Fully, Freely & Entirely", "Cornerstone", and others.
He is the author of the book Delaware's Parks and Gardens: A History through Photographs Old and New. It is available through Cedar Tree Books.
Paul served as the project director and contributing author of the City of Newark's 250th anniversary history book - Histories of Newark: 1758-2008.
Paul's spent the summer of 2008 working on his next book, America's Pastime in the First State: Little League Baseball in Delaware.
He lives in Newark with his family.
